What's Next For Elementary School...?
My other Substack, Audio Issues, has hijacked my time—what does that mean for you?
Hi readers!
I apologize for the long wait—my piece on theme parks and the American economy is STILL coming…
But, I have some news first. My more personal, music/movie/book-themed Substack, Audio Issues, has taken off considerably—with a lot of readers and a lot of excitement.
That isn’t to say that I have forgotten or deprioritized this channel, I am just being honest with you. The possibility of talking to more people has stolen a bit of my time and I want to assure you—I AM STILL WORKING ON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
For obvious reasons, this channel’s content takes a bit more research than a blog about my own life and favorite music, lyrics, movies, comic books, etc.
Before we get back to our regular programming, I will be releasing a cross-post between Elementary School and Audio Issues—if you do not enjoy this content, PLEASE TELL ME IN THE POLL THAT WILL BE INCLUDED AND I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN!
I hope you do. It is fun to write. It is (I think) important to read.
This is what I posted on Audio Issues yesterday.
“CROSS-POST COMING SOON TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL—MY POLITICAL OPINION/NEWS SUBSTACK…”
SLEEP NOW IN THE FIRE: A MUSICAL MANIFESTO TO CORRUPT CHILDREN & CAUSE CHAOS
”I'm bringing my voice from #AudioIssues to cross-post here with a political piece that I've wanted to write for a long time...regular programming returns with future content. Set to #RATM...”The guitars and the drums don’t wait. You shouldn’t either. NOW, SCREAM….
… The world is my expense
The cost of my desire
Jesus blessed me with its future
And I protect it with fireWhat does this mean? It means that we are responsible for what happens here. Every single one of us. The “world”, our environment, our society is used up at our expense. The guy with the limo and the private jet? He might use thousands of times more resources than the poorest among us—he might squeeze more “capital” out of society, but we have just as much responsibility as he does.
Responsibility doesn’t always match up to capability.
Capability must meet opportunity.
Opportunity must meet existing motivation.
Existing motivation must be acted upon…and in great numbers for anything to happen.
Do poor people have has much power? No.
Do poor people have as much safety? No.
Do poor people have as much dignity? No.
So raise your fists
And march around
Don't dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
I am taking a month off of #AudioIssues to…work more :/ but I will see you soon.
THANK YOU
Oh. & Happy Veteran's Day 🇺🇸 TY #AudioIssues
